food for thought and belly too

in later part of life - most people i presume - continue to live with one fascination. it's food that tickles taste buds. out all of our sense organs, taste apparently continues to be loyal over other senses. exceptions aside. and hence, one single 'weakness' of having 'good and tasty' food prevails. recipe writers and chefs are increasingly finding equal takers... as much as propagators of 'healthy' food do.

Most of our reading and understanding about food is mechanical (of  course logical and systematic going by the current scientific standards and norms we follow....but not convincing at times) this much quantity of ghee can increase your chances of cardiac so and so by this much per cent....intake of so and so ingredients can make your life hell in this or that way....

simultaneously, there's a section of people who keep ingesting (and even digesting!) food the way they want and still live relatively above average life span...some don't care but also a section of population has no choice but to eat what comes its way...

advertisements - keep pointing at the unhealthy sideaffects compelling us to opt for better substitutes. history of certain products being dragged into controversies is repeated at intervals.

in this confusion packed scenario with neat statistics saying 'yes-es' and 'no-s' where do we stand with even health conscious intellectuals only speaking for one part of the bigger picture....and not highlighting both the + and the - sides of the great and ever continuing food debate.....it's like selling or helping someone sell a concept....it's being a salesman...putting only your point of view forward...

eat, eat, eat and eat - stop when people start feeding you with what to eat based on ideas backed by product sellers.
