changes are inevitable. seasons change. earth change.people have to change. each year, this time, it's that point in time where seasonal transition instills hopes afresh. the new year frenzy is passe. the february is in. the v-day, the v-day, the v-day...
for people, who have grown up a little, the v-day certainly is not as exciting. for people who see the occassion being exploited for commercial interest, it's not exciting. for people who believe in differing moralities, it's not important...for people who see this as a propaganda, it's not exciting...
interestingly, the budding generations continue to get excited with the v-day. irrespective of whether and how it's really matters...it's exciting. i mean not the v-day, the idea of v-day.
props hard and soft: cards, flowers, texts, e-mails, visuals, music, poetry, wearing colours alike
for many people, this time of the year is also loving yourself - the self who has pulled us all along but has ever been ignored. we ignore self - first because we are asked to 'grow up'. we ignore because we are then asked to 'make a place for yourself with a stable career'. we ignore because then it's time to 'be obedient'...when are we ourselves - lesser drawn with superimposed 'fads' and fashions (i differ - our fashions rarely at times depict our passions and fashions not in the sense we normally understand...fashion is also picking up things that we don't actually need for making our lives better)
so that time of the year is here...take a strike. move on. newer horizons open when you walk and not consider a cluster of trees as the oasis for ever...possibly the best is still invisible awaiting you reach....something that's just kept for you. in this long journey, we succumb. but don't give up. the v-day is also a 'victory day'....or the day to pledge a better year ahead....happy v-day. carry on, move on. live on. happy v-day.
give your self a date this feb!
